Swing Lone Worker includes following features:

Mobile alarm application with positioning

In an emergency situation the user can call for help quickly by pressing just one button on the phone. Swing Lone Worker will send an alarm message with the location information of the sender to pre-determined responders. Swing Lone Worker also calls the responders as long as one of them answers. The alarms and calls can be directed to other mobile phones or to the security monitoring center.

The positioning information is sent to the responders as a map link. It can be opened directly on the phone display in Google Maps, in Ovi Maps in compatible phones, or on a mapping solution of the monitoring center. This will facilitate the help to arrive to the right location.

The user can raise an alarm even if the keypad of the phone is locked. When the alarm is activated, there will be an activation sound on the phone. The alarm will turn the loudspeaker on automatically, in order for the person to have the hands free.

The alarm can be changed into a silent mode for situations, where making a loud alarm could provoke someone to an assault. In the silent mode there are no audible sounds coming from the phone. The responder will be able to hear all sounds and conversations from the location of the alarm when answering the call.

When the help has arrived and the alarm is stopped, Swing Lone Worker will send an alarm stopped -message to all responders.

Tracking

The positioning information of the mobile workforce can be utilized to enhance the safety of the employees and as part of the resource management. It is possible to send the information to a mobile phone, the enterprise resource planning system, or to the mapping solution of the monitoring center.

Ways of sending the positioning information

• Manual sending

  The user can send the current location to a pre-set destination by pressing one button on the phone. In addition to the map link, the message includes the time and a pre-set text. This can be utilized for example by security guards to confirm their rounds and visits to different guarding locations, and the employees of home care services to confirm their visits to the customers.

• Timed sending

  The user can define the Swing Lone Worker to send the positioning information automatically to the pre-set destination in specific timed periods. This enables companies to track and manage their mobile workforce.

• Location query

  The user may allow another person to make a location query. A defined message will automatically activate the sending of the location. This can be used, for instance, when the person is not reached and the location needs to be verified. This feature can also be used to locate a lost phone.

Convenient start-up

Starting to use Swing Lone Worker is convenient, because all necessary information can be pre-installed in the application and modified easily. Specific information, such as alarm numbers and the content of the messages can be defined in the settings file. A company license is available for a group of users and can be installed to all devices at the same time.
