This is how Swing Personal Safety works

When you need help, you just need to press one button on your phone to send an alarm. Swing Personal Safety pinpoints you and sends an alarm message with your location information to the people you have defined in the application. Swing Personal Safety will also call these people until one of them answers the call. You can add one to six people to your responder list.

The positioning information is sent to the responders as a map link, and
can be opened directly on their phone display in Google Maps, or in Ovi Maps in compatible phones. This will facilitate the help to arrive to the right location.

You can raise an alarm even if the keypad of your phone is locked. When the alarm is activated, you will hear an activation sound on your phone. The alarm will turn the loudspeaker on automatically, in order for you to have the hands free.

You can change the alarm into a silent mode for situations, where making a loud alarm could provoke someone to an assault. In the silent mode there are no audible sounds coming from your phone. The responder will be able to hear all sounds and conversations from the location of the alarm when answering the call.

When the help has arrived and the alarm is stopped, Swing Personal Safety will send an alarm stopped -message to all responders.

Based on actual needs

When help is needed fast, there is no time to start thinking who to turn to at that point. You can agree in advance who to ask for help when you need it, and add these people to your list of responders. Once this is done, there is no need to spend time considering possible helpers. The responders may have any kind of phone: receiving the alarm does not set any specific requirements on the phone.

When you are in an emergency situation even the basic use of the phone, such as opening the locked keypad, or finding of contacts, may become difficult. Using Swing Personal Safety the alarm can be activated just by pressing the scroll key, also when the keypad is locked.
